New York, NY, December 12, 2016 – ABO Capital announced today that its CEO Zandre Campos was featured in The Huffington Post discussing the challenges faced by African CEOs and how to address them. The article entitled “Three Challenges of an African CEO – And How to Fix Them” was originally published on The Huffington Post on November 20, 2016.
African chief executives face a variety of challenges including the lack of a skilled workforce, infrastructure, and the oil crisis. Mr. Campos believes these challenges also present a host of possibilities. While the current labor force might lack skill, by 2034 Africa will have the world’s largest labor force which presents African companies with the opportunity to develop education and needed skills. To meet the challenge of inadequate infrastructure, African CEOs can look for and support innovation in “disruptive” technologies to enhance or potentially serve as an alternative to existing resources. The oil crisis allows CEOs to diversify and invest in other sectors including agriculture, tourism, energy, technology and healthcare.
“They say when one door closes, another one opens. As an African CEO, every day of doing business means a multitude of open doors,” said Mr. Campos. “These vast opportunities present African companies and chief executives with unlimited potential to build Africa’s future.”
